1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; eliminating the match requirement for the city of
1.3Hokah project; amending Laws 2008, chapter 179, section 24, subdivision 4.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. Laws 2008, chapter 179, section 24, subdivision 4, is amended to read:

Subd. 4.County and Local Preservation
Grants
2,000,000
1.8To be allocated to county and local
1.9jurisdictions as matching money for historic
1.10preservation projects of a capital nature,
1.11as provided in new Minnesota Statutes,
1.12section 138.0525. This appropriation
1.13includes money for grants to the city of
1.14Hokah to renovate the Hokah City Hall
1.15building; and the Houston County Historical
1.16Society to renovate existing space and to
1.17predesign, design, and construct an addition
1.18to the Houston County Historical Society
1.19building located in the city of Caledonia.
1.20Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section
1.21138.0525, the grant to the city of Hokah is
1.22for the entire cost of the project and the city
1.23is not required to provide a match.
2.1$100,000 is for a grant to the city of Wells to
2.2renovate the historic Wells Train Depot. No
2.3match is required for this grant.
2.4EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
