1.4section 97A.075, subdivision 2.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97A.075, subdivision 2, is amended to
1.7read:
1.8 Subd. 2. Minnesota migratory waterfowl stamp. (a) Ninety percent of the revenue
1.9from the Minnesota migratory waterfowl stamps must be credited to the waterfowl habitat
1.10improvement account. Money in the account is appropriated to the commissioner and may
1.11be used only for:
1.12(1) development of wetlands and lakes in the state and designated waterfowl
1.13management lakes for maximum migratory waterfowl production including habitat
1.14evaluation, the construction of dikes, water control structures and impoundments, nest
1.15cover, rough fish barriers, acquisition of sites and facilities necessary for development
1.16and management of existing migratory waterfowl habitat and the designation of waters
1.17under section97A.101 ;
1.18(2) management of migratory waterfowl;
1.19(3) development, restoration, maintenance, or preservation of migratory waterfowl
1.20habitat;
1.21(4) acquisition of and access to structure sites; and
1.22(5) the promotion of waterfowl habitat development and maintenance, including
1.23promotion and evaluation of government farm program benefits for waterfowl habitat.
2.1(b) Money in the account may not be used for costs unless they are directly related to
2.2a specific parcel of land or body of water under paragraph (a), clause (1), (3), (4), or (5), or
2.3to specific management activities under paragraph (a), clause (2).
2.4EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective July 1, 2013.
