1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating McKenna Porath for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.5that is worthy of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, McKenna Porath is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 237 and has
1.7displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.9community service project, which involved planning and preparing two meals for 75 people
1.10that the Ronald McDonald House supports. He took food preparation courses, meal planning,
1.11conducted price comparisons, organized volunteers, conducted fundraising, purchased the food,
1.12and prepared it for the families; and
1.13WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held in his honor; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15congratulates McKenna Porath for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.17copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.18Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to McKenna Porath.
