1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Geoff Olson of Chanhassen, Minnesota, for receiving the
1.3Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Geoff Olson is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 330 and has
1.8displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.10community service project, which involved upgrading and installing landscaping near Kerber
1.11Pond in Chanhassen, as well as all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle; and
1.12WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held in his honor in March 2015;
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Geoff Olson of Chanhassen, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Geoff Olson.
