AN ACT

To amend chapter 169, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the public school retirement system.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 169, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 169.467, to read as follows: 

            169.467. Notwithstanding any provision of law, beginning August 28, 2014, if the board of trustees determines that the cost of living, as measured by generally accepted standards, increases from the preceding fiscal year, the board shall increase the retirement allowance which the retired members or beneficiaries are receiving in an amount equal to the increase in the consumer price index.
