AN ACT

To amend chapter 227, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of a memorial highway.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 227, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 227.507, to read as follows:

            227.507. The portion of U.S. Highway 136 from U.S. Highway 69 in Bethany, west to the city limits of Albany, in Harrison and Gentry Counties, shall be designated the "Corporal Frank Buckles Memorial Highway", with the additional words "World War I Last Surviving Veteran" to appear on the line below on the memorial sign designation. The department of transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs designating such highway, with the cost to be paid for by the department of transportation.
