AN ACT

To amend chapter 320, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to safety studies by the state fire marshal.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 320, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 320.203, to read as follows:

            320.203. Before any municipal fire department located in any county with a charter form of government and with more than six hundred thousand but fewer than seven hundred thousand inhabitants, any county with a charter form of government and with more than nine hundred fifty thousand inhabitants, or any city not within a county decreases the number of firefighters or first responders assigned to each fire apparatus pump operation, the state fire marshal and the department of public safety shall conduct a study to determine whether any safety issues exist relating to assigning fewer than four firefighters or first responders to each fire apparatus pump operation.
