AN ACT

To amend chapter 162, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to nursing services providers for certain students with individualized education plans.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 162, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 162.1420, to read as follows:

            162.1420. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, when a school district changes from one clinical nursing services provider to another, the parent or legal guardian of a student with an individualized education plan that includes clinical nursing services shall have the option to retain the specific nursing professional who has been working with the student previously, provided that retaining the specific nursing professional would cost the school district no more than the cost to assign a new professional to the student under the new clinical nursing services provider.
