AN ACT
To repeal section 21.615, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the general assembly.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Section 21.615, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 21.615, to read as follows:
21.615. 1. Bills filed during the filing period with the secretary of the senate or clerk of the house shall be automatically introduced on the opening day of that session of the general assembly which next succeeds the last day of the filing period in which the bills were filed.
2. In order to fulfill the requirements of article III, section 22 of the Constitution of Missouri, all bills filed with the secretary of the senate or the chief clerk of the house shall be referred to a committee of the house in which it is pending within twenty legislative days of the date of filing.
