AN ACT

To amend chapter 571, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the unlawful sale of firearms or firearms ammunition in certain cities, with a penalty provision.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 571, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 571.065, to read as follows:

            571.065. 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law it shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly sell handgun ammunition in any home rule city with more than four hundred thousand inhabitants and located in more than one county or in any city of the third classification with more than four thousand seven hundred but fewer than four thousand eight hundred inhabitants and located in any county of the first classification with more than one hundred eighty-four thousand but fewer than one hundred eighty-eight thousand inhabitants.

            2. Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
