House Bill 1258
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 63-1-39, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE COMMISSIONER OR ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OR AN AUTHORIZED DEPUTY SIGN A DRIVER'S LICENSE BEFORE IT WILL BE VALID; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 63-1-39, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:
63-1-39. No license issued
pursuant to this article shall be valid under the provisions of this article
until it has been signed * * *by the commissioner, assistant commissioner or an authorized deputy, and
signed in ink by the applicant.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015.
