AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 906, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2017, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 933, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2020, WHICH AUTHORIZES THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO HOME OF GRACE, THE MARY C. O'KEEFE CULTURAL CENTER OF ARTS AND EDUCATION, AND THE PASCAGOULA RIVER AUDUBON CENTER, TO SPECIFY THAT CONTRIBUTIONS MADE TO THE MARY C. O'KEEFE CULTURAL CENTER OF ARTS AND EDUCATION ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS OF THE CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Chapter 906, Local and Private Laws of 2017, as amended by Chapter 933, Local and Private Laws of 2020, is amended as follows:
Section 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute funds annually to the following organizations in amounts not to exceed the following:
Home of Grace......................................$25,000.00
Management and Operations
for the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center of Arts and Education........................... $20,000.00
Pascagoula River Audubon
Center ...................$10,000.00
United Way for Jackson and George Counties.........$10,000.00
(2) This section shall be
repealed from and after July 1,
2024.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
