House Bill 1535

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO WE CARE COMMUNITIES, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute annually from its general funds an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to We Care Communities, Inc., a nonprofit corporation that provides services to the community through GED classes and community outreach for the disadvantaged.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2022.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
