House Bill 1538

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE

VICKSBURG-WARREN VETERAN TRANSITION CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute annually from its general funds an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to the Vicksburg-Warren Veteran Transition Center, a nonprofit corporation that provides temporary housing and other assistance to veterans.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
