AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF WAVELAND, MISSISSIPPI, TO UTILIZE THE HANCOCK COUNTY JUSTICE COURT TO CONDUCT WAVELAND MUNICIPAL COURT UNTIL SUCH TIME THE CITY OBTAINS APPROPRIATE SPACE TO CONDUCT THE BUSINESS OF ITS COURT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 21-23-7, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any other provisions of law to the contrary, the governing authorities of the City of Waveland, Mississippi, are authorized to utilize the Hancock County Justice Court to conduct Waveland Municipal Court.

     (2)  The authority provided under subsection (1) of this section shall be until such time the City of Waveland obtains more appropriate space for its municipal court to conduct business.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
