House Bill 1653
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., A COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE FUNDS BE USED AS LOCAL MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE AGENCY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute to Northeast Mississippi Community Services, Inc., a community action agency, an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) per fiscal year, beginning fiscal year 2019/2020, from any available funds of the county to be used as local matching funds for the continuation of Northeast Mississippi Community Services, Inc.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2024.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2020.
