House Bill 22

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN BRIDGE ON MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 50 IN LOWNDES AND CLAY COUNTIES AS THE "SENATOR BENNIE L. TURNER MEMORIAL BRIDGE"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  That bridge that spans the Tombigbee River on Mississippi Highway 50 in Lowndes and Clay Counties is designated and shall be known as the "Senator Bennie L. Turner Memorial Bridge."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the bridge described in subsection (1) of this section.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2017.
