House Bill 43

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF ANY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT ONLINE COURSES FOR STATE INMATES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The boards of trustees of any community or junior college district, in cooperation with the Department of Corrections, may develop and implement online courses available for enrollment by state inmates.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2016.
