AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 41 IN THE CITY OF OKOLONA AND A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 32 IN CHICKASAW COUNTY AS THE "VETERANS MEMORIAL BOULEVARD"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) That segment of Mississippi Highway 41, which is also known as Monroe Street, in the City of Okolona in Chickasaw County beginning at its intersection with the Mobile and Ohio railroad tracks and extending westerly to its intersection with the westernmost corporate limits of the City of Okolona, and that segment of Mississippi Highway 32 beginning at its intersection with the easternmost city limits of the City of Okolona in Chickasaw County and extending easterly to the Chickasaw/Monroe county line are designated and shall be known as the "Veterans Memorial Boulevard."
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segments of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
