WHEREAS, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven," and as such, the immaculate author and finisher of our soul's destiny summoned the mortal presence of dearly beloved Quanderies KaShawn Powe to eternal rest on July 7, 2016, rendering great sorrow and loss to his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, the Waynesboro community lost a great young man with the passing of Quanderies, who was born on April 16, 1993, to Machelle D. Powe and Ronnie Jordan; and

WHEREAS, Quanderies graduated from Wayne County High School in 2011 and felt the patriotic call to enlist in the Mississippi Army National Guard, where he would go on to attain the rank of Specialist with Alpha Company of the 155th Brigade Engineer Battalion; and

WHEREAS, though he has traversed the river of life to reunite with those who have preceded him in death, the legacy of Quanderies will continue to refresh the hearts and fond memories of his beloved survivors:  parents, Machelle Powe and Ronnie Jordan; brothers, Reontae Powe and Sedrick West, Jr.; niece, Braylee Powe; grandmother, Alice Colter; great-grandmother, Mary H. Pou; uncles, Vernon Powe, Lymon Powe, Jr., James Jordan, John Jordan and Jimmy Jordan; aunts, Tina M. Powe and Regina Jordan; and his military brethren; and
