A RESOLUTION TO CREATE NEW HOUSE RULE NO. 28A TO AUTHORIZE THE MEMBERS OF THE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE TO ATTEND COMMITTEE MEETINGS REMOTELY AND VOTE REMOTELY DURING THOSE MEETINGS; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND MEETINGS IN THE HOUSE CHAMBER REMOTELY AND VOTE REMOTELY DURING THOSE MEETINGS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That a new House Rule No. 28A is created to read as follows:
28A. (1) The members of the Appropriations committee shall have the option of attending Appropriations committee meetings remotely. Members remotely participating in such committee meetings may vote, and shall be considered present and in attendance for all purposes, including for purposes of determining a quorum.
(2) The members of the House of Representatives shall have the option of attending meetings in the House chamber remotely. Members remotely participating in such meetings may vote, and shall be considered present and in attendance for all purposes, including for purposes of determining a quorum.
