AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 5-1-77, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH CREATES THE POSITION OF THE MAIL CARRIER AND DISTRIBUTOR FOR THE LEGISLATURE; TO REPEAL SECTIONS 5-1-81 AND 5-1-83, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROVIDE FOR THE LOCATION OF THE POST OFFICE IN THE CAPITOL AND DIRECTS THE CAPITOL COMMISSION TO PROVIDE FURNISHINGS FOR THE POST-OFFICE ROOM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 5-1-77, Mississippi Code of 1972, which creates the position of the mail carrier and distributor for the Legislature, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Sections 5-1-81 and 5-1-83, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provide for the location of the post office in the Capitol and directs the Capitol Commission to provide furnishings for the post-office room, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2020.
