Senate Bill 2075
AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 43-1-13, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROHIBITS PARTISAN POLITICAL ACTIVITY BY AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES AND PROVIDES CRIMINAL PENALTIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 43-1-13, Mississippi Code of 1972, which prohibits partisan political activity by an employee of the Department of Human Services and provides criminal penalties, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2017.
