AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 97-33-33, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROHIBITS THE ADVERTISING OF LOTTERIES; TO REPEAL SECTION 97-33-35, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROHIBITS PUBLICATION OR CIRCULATION OF NEWSPAPERS ADVERTISING A LOTTERY; TO REPEAL SECTION 97-33-37, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROHIBITS THE SALE OF NEWSPAPERS CONTAINING A LOTTERY ADVERTISEMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 97-33-33, Mississippi Code of 1972, which prohibits the advertising of lotteries, is repealed.
SECTION 2. Section 97-33-35, Mississippi Code of 1972, which prohibits publication or circulation of newspapers advertising a lottery, is repealed.
SECTION 3. Section 97-33-37, Mississippi Code of 1972, which prohibits the sale of newspapers containing a lottery advertisement, is repealed.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
