Senate Bill 2273
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE DESOTO COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of DeSoto County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute money from any available funds and to provide in-kind donations and support, which may include donating real and personal property and providing personnel, equipment and other support and services, to the DeSoto County Economic Development Council, Inc., in an amount not to exceed a collective total sum or value of Twenty-five Million Dollars ($25,000,000.00) upon such terms the board deems to be in the best interest of the county, for the purposes of furthering economic development projects.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after December 31, 2023.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
