Senate Bill 2502

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE THE SONG "MISSISSIPPI" BY DANNY WAYNE PURCELL AS THE OFFICIAL STATE COUNTRY MUSIC SONG OF MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The song "Mississippi" by Danny Wayne Purcell is designated the official Country Music Song of Mississippi.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
