AN ACT TO DESIGNATE THE AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE AS THE "OFFICIAL STATE HORSE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The American Quarter Horse, which is well-suited for the intricate and quick maneuvers required for rodeo events, is hereby designated the "Official State Horse of the State of Mississippi."

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2023.
