Senate Bill 3076

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF DUCK HILL FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1.  The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the General Fund not otherwise appropriated to the Town of Duck Hill, Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025.... $ 9,015,000.00.

     SECTION 2.  Of the funds appropriated under Section 1, the following amounts are to be allocated as follows:

To defray the costs of improvements, construction, and re-surfacing of Main Street from State Highway 51 to State Highway 404 West.. $ 1,400,000.00

To defray the costs of improvements, construction, and re-surfacing of Rosemont Street from Carrollton Street to Duck Hill Cemetery. $ 1,100,000.00

To defray the costs of the construction of

Lancaster Circle.................................. $ 1,200,000.00

To defray the costs of improvements, construction, and re-surfacing of Martin Luther King Street...................... $ 1,325,000.00

To defray the costs of improvements, construction, and re-surfacing of Wilson Street from South Binford Avenue to State Highway 51.. $ 1,400,000.00

To defray the costs of purchasing and installing ten (10) speed bumps............................................ $    45,000.00

To defray the costs of purchasing and installing standby generators at each municipal well............................ $   220,000.00

To defray the costs of repairing and painting elevated water storage tank............................................. $   750,000.00

To defray the costs of constructing a

helipad.......................................... $    75,000.00

To defray the costs of gas line service in Grenada

County........................................... $   750,000.00

To defray the costs of the eater valve infrastructure

project.......................................... $   750,000.00

     SECTION 3.  The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the General Fund not otherwise appropriated upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2024.
