Senate Bill 3106
AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS AND ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS; AND TO PAY EXPENSES OF SPECIAL JUDGES, CHANCELLORS AND CIRCUIT JUDGES; AND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY CRIME LABORATORY, HIGHWAY SAFETY PATROL AND BUREAU OF NARCOTICS CONTINUATION FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund, created in Section 27-103-203, Mississippi Code of 1972, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying salaries, travel and tort claim assessment expenses of district attorneys, assistant district attorneys and criminal investigators of the state for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010......................... $ 1,566,538.00.
SECTION 2. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of district attorneys, assistant district attorneys and criminal investigators for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 $ 728,023.00.
Of the funds appropriated in this section, the following sources of funds are provided:

SECTION 3. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund, created in Section 27-103-203, Mississippi Code 1972, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying the expense of special judges, chancellors and circuit judges for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 $ 2,102,219.00.
SECTION 4. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund, created in Section 27-103-203, Mississippi Code of 1972, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying the expense of the Department of Public Safety for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 $ 3,548,569.00.
Of the funds appropriated in this section, the following allocation is provided:
Crime Laboratory........................... $ 244,527.00.
Highway Safety Patrol...................... $ 2,934,318.00.
Bureau of Narcotics........................ $ 369,724.00.
SECTION 5. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 6. This act shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.
