A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND SALUTING THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL "ATTACHÉ" SHOW CHOIR AND DIRECTORS DAVID AND MARY FEHR FOR GRAND CHAMPION VICTORY AND FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING 2014-2015 COMPETITION SEASON.

     WHEREAS, Clinton High School's Attaché Show Choir was named Grand Champion at the FAME Orlando Show Choir Competition held March 14, 2015, at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida.  Attaché also won top awards for best show design, best vocals and best choreography.  Sophomore Jordan Newell was recognized as Top male Performer.  Ankeny Centennial High School Spectrum Show Choir of Iowa finished first runner-up.  Swingers Unlimited of Ohio and Amazing Technicolor of Nebraska finished second and third, respectively, at the prestigious competition; and

     WHEREAS, in April, Attaché serves as the only host choir of Show Choir Nationals, which has been held annually at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, for 14 years; and

     WHEREAS, in its 35th year, Attaché is composed of 45 singers/dancers, 19 instrumentalists and 10 crew members.  The award-winning Show Choir is led by Directors David and Mary Fehr, Pit Director Robert Allen, and Crew Director Deborah Morgan.  Choreographers include:  April James, Kellis Oldenburg, Stephen Todd and Dexter Bishop; and

     WHEREAS, FAME is one of the largest Show Choir competitions in the United States; and

     WHEREAS, "We are proud of all the hard work and dedication of our students and staff in Attaché," said Dr. Phillip Burchfield, Superintendent of the Clinton Public School District.  "We have a long tradition of excellence in our Show Choir, and it is amazing to see that recognized on the national stage each year"; and

     WHEREAS, the 2014-2015 talented singers/dancers, pit and crew of Attaché are:  Singers/Dancers:  Drake Barrett, Walker Clark, Casey Collier, Kyleigh Comley, Lea Cornelius, Haven Cox, Austin Crawford, Rachel Darnell, Hayley DeYoung, Christian Felder, Josey Kate Godfrey, Jack Harrell, Bridges Harrison, Claire Holmes, Maddie Howell, Lake Hutchison, Jerome Jones, Michael Leach, Morgan Leach, Mason Mann, Ethan McFarland, Granger Neblett, Jordan Newell, Annelise Ouellette, Mary Madison Pevey, Carlee Perry, Mattie Grace Pierce, Jalin Ratcliff, Miranda Ray, Regan Ringler, Ryan Roberts, Kirby Sherman, Olivia Smith, Drew Stanford, Madeline Stanteen, Sydney Thomas, Wesley Thomas, Davis Turner, Ty Turner, Christian Trejo, Jason Tullos, Azjah Watson, Sydney Wicks, Abigail Wilbanks and Lane Wilson; Pit:  Anna Kathryn Antrim, Glenn Bailey, Charmaine Beluso, Bailey Bynum, Ashley Case, Daniel Conway, Jacob Dillard, Jack Grogan, Weston Hathorn, Jake Herring, Kaylan Johnson, Elizabeth Leach, Rebecca Lee, Isaiah Mills, Malorie Steen, Gracie Thornton, Tucker Welch and Jennings Winstead; Crew:  Jonathan Angelo, Robbie Heath, NiKayla McClelland, Emily Rayburn, Hope Roberts, Carra Spencer and Hannah Stambaugh; and

     WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize and commend the accomplishments of the students of this nationally and internationally known Show Choir which has brought honor to Clinton High School, the City of Clinton and the State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby recognize and salute the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir and Directors David and Mary Fehr for their FAME Grand Champion victory and for their outstanding 2014-2015 competition season, and extend our best wishes to the students, directors, parents and sponsors of this award-winning Show Choir in their future competitions.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir, Directors David and Mary Fehr, and Principal Mr. Bobby Hathorn, forwarded to the Clinton Municipal School Board, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
