A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, AND THE INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE, OF A BILL ENTITLED "AN ACT TO EXTEND THE QUALIFYING DEADLINE FOR CANDIDATES FOR STATE SENATOR IN CERTAIN DISTRICTS; TO BRING FORWARD SECTIONS 23-15-299, 23-15-331, 23-15-333, 23-15-367, 23-15-625, 23-15-629, 23-15-649, 23-15-683, 23-15-685, 23-15-715, 23-15-961 AND 23-15-963, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, FOR THE PURPOSE OF POSSIBLE AMENDMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the House and the Senate, including all the deadlines and other provisions imposed by Joint Rule No. 40, are suspended for the purpose of requesting the drafting, and the introduction, consideration and passage of a bill entitled "AN ACT TO EXTEND THE QUALIFYING DEADLINE FOR CANDIDATES FOR STATE SENATOR IN CERTAIN DISTRICTS; TO BRING FORWARD SECTIONS 23-15-299, 23-15-331, 23-15-333, 23-15-367, 23-15-625, 23-15-629, 23-15-649, 23-15-683, 23-15-685, 23-15-715, 23-15-961 AND 23-15-963, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, FOR THE PURPOSE OF POSSIBLE AMENDMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
