A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to restore funding for the teaching fellows program.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of three million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($3,250,000) in recurring funds for the 2013‑2014 and 2014‑2015 fiscal years to restore funding for the 2013‑2014 class and subsequent classes of the Teaching Fellows Program.

SECTION 2.  Section 1.38 of S.L. 2011‑266 is repealed.

SECTION 3.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2013.
