A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE STATE BOARD OF COMMUNITY COLLEGES TO STUDY ESTABLISHMENTS OF A PROGRAM OF FINANCIAL LITERACY AND LIFE SKILLS INSTRUCTION.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The State Board of Community Colleges shall study creation of a Financial Literacy and Life Skills Instruction Program as a statewide community college curriculum on financial literacy and life skills instruction to be delivered through the Community Colleges System Office. The State Board shall report to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee on the study no later than February 15, 2016.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
