A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to amend the state budget act to require that budget special provisions reflect the name of the sponsoring legislator.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Article 5 of Chapter 143C of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:

"§ 143C‑5‑6.  Request disclosure.

Every special provision contained in the Current Operations Appropriations Act shall indicate the name of the member or members who requested the provision."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
