A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT Authorizing the legislative Research Commission to study issues related to improving the quality and availability of evidence‑based services to support individuals with intellectual AND/OR developmental disabilities transition into employment.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Legislative Research Commission is authorized to study issues related to improving the quality and availability of evidence‑based services to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or both in the preparation for, identification of, and maintenance of integrated, paid, competitive employment.

SECTION 2.  The Legislative Research Commission shall report on the study to the 2017 General Assembly when it reconvenes in 2018.

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
