AN ACT relative to seating assignments of members of the house of representatives.

This bill provides that seating assignments in the house chamber for members of the house of representatives shall consider the physical disability and limited mobility of a member.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT relative to seating assignments of members of the house of representatives.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Members of the General Court; House Chamber Seating Assignments. Amend RSA 14-A by inserting after section 6 the following new section:
14-A:7 House Chamber Seating Assignments. The speaker of the house of representatives shall consider an individual member's physical disability and limited mobility when designating seating assignments for the members of the house of representatives in the house chamber. He or she shall make all reasonable efforts to accommodate the requests of such members.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
