STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT naming the Enfield wildlife management area after former fish and game biologist Henry Laramie.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
10:1 Statement of Intent. The general court recognizes that former fish and game biologist Henry Laramie was responsible for protecting hundreds of acres of land in New Hampshire for conservation purposes. Henry initiated the fish and game department’s black bear research when no other states were working on bears and now bears are a highly regarded big game animal. Henry also began tracking moose numbers and, through his efforts, the fish and game department conducted moose research resulting in establishing a moose season in New Hampshire. Therefore, to honor Henry Laramie as the dedicated and resourceful professional biologist that he was and to recognize that he helped the department and New Hampshire in many ways, the general court hereby names the Enfield wildlife management area in his memory.
10:2 Henry Laramie Management Wildlife Area. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the area known as the Enfield wildlife management area in Grafton county shall be named the Henry Laramie wildlife management area in honor of former fish and game biologist Henry Laramie. Appropriate signage may be placed at the site.
10:3 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers authorized under section 2 of this act shall not be a charge to the state.
