METHODOLOGY:
This bill appropriates $450,000 to the Department of Health and Human Services in FY 2020 for the purpose of providing additional funding for the meals on wheels program. The Department states that this sum equates to an additional 75,000 meals that could be provided. The Department further states that, should the bill pass late in the fiscal year, it may not have time to amend existing contracts with vendors, resulting in the appropriation lapsing back to the general fund.
