HOUSE BILL 247
AN ACT prohibiting the assignment and acceptance of recommendations of unauthorized judicial referees.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT prohibiting the assignment and acceptance of recommendations of unauthorized judicial referees.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Judicial Referees. Amend RSA 493-A:1-a by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:
IV. The following constitute acts of maladministration:
(a) Assigning a person who does not meet the qualifications of paragraph I as a judicial referee or unauthorized referee.
(b) Accepting recommendations from a judicial referee or unauthorized referee who does not meet the qualifications of paragraph I.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2016.
