AN ACT relative to the content of annual town reports.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT relative to the content of annual town reports.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subdivision; Energy Consumption Report. Amend RSA 31 by inserting after section 149 the following new subdivision:
31:150 Energy Consumption Report Required.
I. Municipalities with a population between 500 and 15,000 shall include in their annual town report the following energy statistics for the previous July 1 through June 30 period:
(a) The energy consumption of each of the 5 municipal buildings, or all municipal buildings, whichever is fewer, that consumed the most energy in the period, expressed both in energy units, e.g. gallons, btus, kilowatt hours, or other common measure, and in total dollar costs.
(b) The fuel consumed, and its cost, by municipal vehicles and maintenance equipment.
(c) The energy consumption statistics under subparagraphs (a) and (b) for the previous year.
(d) A list of measures taken, if any, during the previous year to reduce energy consumption and energy dollar costs.
II. Data shall be developed and presented in a consistent manner across facilities and from year to year.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
