STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen
AN ACT proclaiming the second Saturday in June as Pollyanna of Littleton New Hampshire Recognition Day.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Observances Proclaimed by the Governor; Pollyanna of Littleton New Hampshire Recognition Day. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-y the following new section:
4:13-z Pollyanna of Littleton New Hampshire Recognition Day. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation calling for a proper observance of the second Saturday in June as Pollyanna of Littleton New Hampshire Recognition Day in recognition and celebration of the bronze fine art sculpture of Pollyanna on the lawn of the Littleton public library as an attraction and a welcoming symbol of the gladness and optimism of the people of New Hampshire. The governor shall urge schools, libraries, and citizens to commemorate the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
