STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

A RESOLUTION affirming the New Hampshire militia.

Whereas, Modern transportation, logistics and communication have effectively shrunk the world in the time since the New Hampshire Constitution was ratified, and

Whereas, This shrinking world must cause us to reexamine the oft presumed impossibility of invasion and attack on the homeland,

and

Whereas, Modern threats to the homeland include those traditional foreign threats, as well as asymmetric threats posed by state and nonstate actors, now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives:

The militia remains the proper, natural, and sure defense of the State of New Hampshire.
