SYNOPSIS
Requires electronic submission of certain periodic reports to Governor and Legislature by State agency.

An Act requiring the electronic submission of periodic reports required by law from State agencies to the Governor or Legislature and supplementing Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, when feasible, any periodic report required by law to be submitted to the Governor, the Legislature, or a presiding officer or committee of the Legislature by a State department, agency, board, commission, authority or instrumentality shall be submitted to the Governor, the Legislature, or a presiding officer or committee of the Legislature electronically in lieu of providing those persons or entities with a printed copy of the report. A notice of the availability of such periodic report shall be transmitted electronically to the State Librarian.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill provides that, when feasible, any State department or agency required by law to submit a periodic report to the Governor, the Legislature or certain legislative officials submit that report electronically to those persons or entities. In addition, the bill provides that a notice of the availability of such a report will be transmitted electronically to the State Librarian.
