SYNOPSIS

     Requires MVC to check Social Security Administration records and mark deceased individuals in MVC database once per month.

     As reported by the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee on December 12, 2016, with amendments.

  

An Act concerning the records of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and supplementing ¹[P.L.2003, c.13 (C.39:2A-1 et al.)] Title 39 of the Revised Statutes¹.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission shall compare, not less than once per month, the ¹commission's¹ database records ¹[of the commission]¹ with the death records produced by the Social Security Administration and shall mark as deceased in the ¹commission's¹ database records ¹[of the commission]¹ any individual who is listed in those death records.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
