CURRENT VERSION OF TEXT
As introduced.
An Act requiring the New Jersey Transit Corporation to offer discount tickets to all New Jersey higher education students, supplementing P.L.1979, c.150 (C.27:25-1 et seq.).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, in the event that the corporation offers a discount rate for a ticket or pass for bus or rail passenger service for certain students attending New Jersey institutions of higher education, the discount rate shall be available to all students attending New Jersey institutions of higher education.

STATEMENT
This bill would require New Jersey Transit to extend its current full-time student monthly pass discount offer to all New Jersey higher education students.
