Provides that public schools will not be in session on Veterans' Day of each year.

An Act concerning the public school calendar and supplementing chapter 36 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. The school calendar adopted by a board of education of a public school district shall provide that school is not in session on Veterans' Day, November 11th, of each year in recognition of the service and sacrifices of veterans of this State and country.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill directs that the board of education of a public school district must adopt a calendar that provides that school will not be in session on Veterans' Day, November 11th, of each year. School sessions will not be held on this date in recognition of the service and sacrifices of veterans of this State and country.
