SYNOPSIS

     Requires four-year public institutions of higher education to waive fees for students attending on military scholarships.

An Act concerning fees charged by four-year public institutions of higher education for certain students and supplementing chapter 62 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes. 

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    a.  A four-year public institution of higher education shall waive all institutional fees for a student who attends the institution on a military scholarship.

     b.    The Secretary of Higher Education shall provide each four-year public institution of higher education with a list of military scholarships.   

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill requires a four-year public institution of higher education to waive all institutional fees for a student who attends the institution on a military scholarship.  Under the bill, the Secretary of Higher Education will provide each institution with a list of military scholarships.
