     Permits union officials who represent probation officers to participate in all union activities.

An Act concerning union activity of probation officers and supplementing P.L.1994, c.162 (C.2B:11-1 et seq.).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, it shall not be improper for union officers on full-time leave pursuant to N.J.S.11A:6-12 representing collective negotiations units which represent probation officers, supervisors, and other related titles in the Judiciary to participate in union activity, including: lobbying, the commitment of organization funds, and partisan political activity.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill would permit certain union officials who represent probation officers, supervisors, and other related titles in the State Judiciary to participate in union activity, including: lobbying, the commitment of organization funds, and partisan political activity.

     The bill applies to union officers on full-time leave pursuant to N.J.S.11A:6-12 representing collective negotiations units which represent probation officers, supervisors, and other related titles in the Judiciary.
