This bill appropriates $5 million to the Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities, to enable the division to develop additional community residential programs for persons on the division's waiting list.
The number of persons in the Priority Category of the Community Services Residential Waiting List in December 2008 was about 4,700.
The $5.0 million supplemental appropriation would enable the division to develop upwards of 13 community residential programs to provide services for between 50 and 80 clients.
