SYNOPSIS

     Prohibits advertisement of abortion providers in all school districts.

An Act concerning the advertising of reproductive health services in school districts and supplementing chapter 6 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    a.  A school district shall not display advertisements promoting abortion providers in any area of a school building of the school district, including the exterior premises of a school building of the district.

     b.  As used in this section, "advertisement" means any advertisement or information in electronic or print media that is directed or targeted to students or employees of a school district, including, but not limited to, brochures, pamphlets, posters, electronic media, and other means of promotion.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill prohibits school districts from displaying advertisements promoting abortion providers in any area of a school building of the school district, including the exterior premises of a school building of the district. 

     As defined in the bill, "advertisement" means any advertisement or information in electronic or print media that is directed or targeted to students or employees of a school district, including but not limited to brochures, pamphlets, posters, electronic media, and other means of promotion.
